The essentials

Frequently asked questions

Installation, updates, connecting and the server’s testing stage.

How do I install the game to another drive?

Run the installer and, at the folder step, choose the drive and directory you want. The client needs at least 3 GB of free space.

Why does the launcher verify files for so long on first launch?

It is checking the integrity of the installed client. The first check can take a few minutes; later ones usually finish faster.

What should I do if the “Play” button is still unavailable?

Wait for the verification and update to finish. If an error message appears, restart the launcher and check your internet connection.

Where do I register an account?

Accounts are created right here on the site: the piratia.net home page has a “Create a game account” form. Choose a username and password, confirm your agreement with the documents — then use those credentials to log in to the game through the client.

Which version of the game is used?

The current foundation is version 2.5. The client and server are adapted for our game world; the up-to-date version is shown on the home page.

Can I move an already installed folder?

Yes. Move the folder in its entirety, then start the launcher from the new location and run a file check. You can recreate the shortcut afterwards.

My antivirus reacts to the installer or the game EXE. Is it dangerous?

Old game components sometimes trigger heuristic warnings. Download the installer only from piratia.net and do not disable your protection wholesale. If in doubt, send a screenshot of the warning to support.

Will there be wipes?

The project is at a testing stage, so we cannot promise in advance that data will remain untouched. Any major decision will be announced before it takes effect.

Where are the rules and the privacy policy?

They are linked at the bottom of every page: the rules, the terms and the privacy policy.

How do I report a bug?

Open the support section and prepare a description, the time of the event, a screenshot and the launcher log file if one was created. Never send your password.
